THE AUTHOR

Paola-Maria Caleffi is a fixed-term Junior Assistant Professor of English and Research Fellow at the Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna (Italy), Department of Education Studies “Giovanni Maria Bertin”. She holds a BA in Linguistics and Modern Foreign Languages Teaching, an MA in Linguistics, and a PhD in English Studies, with the additional title of Doctor Europaeus. Besides Bologna, she has taught English Language, English Linguistics and Translation between English and Italian to BA, MA and PhD students at the Universities of Verona, Padua, Venice and Mantua. Her research interests include English Linguistics, English Language Teaching (ELT), English as a Lingua Franca (ELF), Pragmatics and Critical Discourse Analysis, Language Change, Digital Communication, Translation. She has published in several international scientific journals. Her current research project at the University of Bologna concerns the teaching and learning of English in early childhood education, with a focus on inclusivity and assessment tools.
